The trend amongst several manufacturers at the moment, is to produce 'vignettes-in-a-box'. This is particularly notable from companies such as Masterbox or, the recently announced set from ICM. Now, for the first time, Dragon Models Ltd. have announced a similar iniative.
Released under the series title 'History in Your Hands' (tm), the first set will is scheduled for release at the end of may/beginning of june:

DRA(????) - Olympic Games Camera Team (Berlin 1936) - is a new GenII figure set which will consist of three, 1/35th scale figures - Cameraman, production assistant and, (for the first time in any scale), a representation of the Nazi film-maker Leni Riefenstahl. Also included will be a camera 'dolly' with a 35mm 'Leitzmann' movie camera which will include photo-etch and clear plastic for the lenses. Spare film canisters and battery-pack will also be included.

Although this is the first (officially announced) release, i've been given a few details of future releases in what should be an exciting series..

The following release will be the Ceremonial Parade Unit of the:

Indische Freiwilligen Legion der Waffen-SS - this set promises to be even more spectacular than the first which will include (for the first time in ANY scale) the little-seen elephant kettledrummer along with howdah.

Nor are Allied modelers forgotten in this new iniative, future sets will include British 'Land Girls' - British women who worked on the Home Front in agriculture and forestry as part of the Women's Land Army (WLA) are going to be featured (also in GenII).

More details as they're announced!

Well, as you've probably guessed by now, this was all a hoax for April 1st. Thanks to Robert Blokker (Faust's) graphic, the story took on a life of its own. Thanks for looking!!! - Jim

The Elephant never had a Kettledrummer, only a Klockenspiel player. The Kettledrummer was introduced as part of the upgrade for the Ferdinand before they were shipped to italy.

I really must commend you on a most original idea. This rivals the one from last year about the spray on Zimmerit from Mr.Hobby. Thanks for keeping us all reminded that this is a hobby and it's supposed to be FUN. Happy April Fools Day!!!

Yep, it was in fact a complete hoax Thanks to those who PM'ed me asking about release dates, more images etc. I'd particularly like to thank Faust (Robert Blokker) without whose graphics it wouldn't have looked so authentic...

Ola guys You have absolutely no idea how some of your comments made me laugh. Pure gold. As Jim already told you it was a big hoax. Nothing of the story was true. Now I in turn have to give some big credit to Jim as without his very good news story the image wasn't half as convincing. to Answer your question gunny (if I may speak for Jim too) The story line started not that long after the Piano joke here on Armorama. And so we started to think about what we could do for April 1st. We decided to go with the most useless kit ever plan and Jim's initial idea was to have the Free Indian SS legion with an elephant. But that proved some problems because I couldn't find any good pictures and when I finally found good pictures I could not do much with it. Take a guess where this should end But since I could not do anything with it I had to look for something different. And my first backup plan was to have a 1936 Olympics German Swim team or a Sprinting team but then I came accross the Leni Riefenstahl picture and decided that of all the useless things I could come up with this was at the top. So the picture was born... and the story of Jim finished it off. I really had a good laugh. With friendly greetz Robert Blokker
