Again DML and again Germas,Germans,Germans. This set looks like clone of previouse figures. When I saw this box-art I get feeling that saw all those figures in more early sets.

Just to inject a slightly bitter note into the proceedings, I LIKE them.

Being a "German builder" I like them too, but what I don't understand is, why Dragon dosen't produce a couple of allied tank crew sets (Africa/Italy, NW Europe, russian tankers), when they produce so many great shermans and T-34's. That ought to be bestsellers. Just a thought Jacob

Indeed. That reminds me of the firing position drills we had in the army prior to going to the shooting range. Standing position was surprisingly tough, and it wasn't very different than that on the figure. Twenty times raising and lowering your rifle to aim made the 3,5kg thingie feel quite heavy... So, I second those opinions made about the figures pose being a snapshot of time instead of a "proper" pose. I agree the map case being in an awkward position. I bet if he didn't realize to move it himself, his squad leader would probably mention it.

Sorry for reviving the old thread… Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would help me to identify the tan coat uniform the officer on far right is wearing. I’m looking for some pictures of the real thing or replica to get an idea about color and details. I’ve tried searching for “coat”, “anorak” and even “parka” but I still did not run into anything that would match. Thanks in advance -A-

Ales, The officer appears to be wearing a collarless sheepskin overjacket, an item of clothing some Panzer units took to wearing during the winter months on the Eastern Front. It also appears that the cuffs are elasticized. Without more detailed pictures or the figures in front of me that's about all I could tell you. HTH Rudi (p.s. the colours ranged from pale cream to dark tan )

AHH GREAT, ANOTHER SET OF GERMANS.DRAGON HASN'T MANY SETS IN THERE CATALOGUE.(british sarcasm....sorry!)
NOV 14, 2008 - 09:31 AM
This set was released in July, so it has since been accompanied by many more "another set(s) of Germans". Turnover sales tell a much better tale to companies. If you don't like it - don't buy it (and I'm sure you won't). I must however thank you for bumping the thread up again, as you made me have another look at the kit and decide to buy it (no sarcasm there, mate).

Thanks, Rudi. At least something I can focus my further search on...
