It's only just appearing in the retail outlets and already the AM manufacturers are rubbing their hands at the spin-offs. First out of the starting gate is LionRoar.
When Robert Blokker published his highly-complete Review of Bronco Model's LWS (Landwasserschlepper) in 1/35th scale, he highlighted the lack of the very distinctive rope bumpers for the vehicle. Now, LionRoar. have announced a set:

LE35087 - Resin Anti-bumping Bar (Bumpers) For WWII German Land-Wasser-Schlepper

Mo more details, but the images should speak for themselves...

I dunno. The track looks like Bronco's individual links, not the one-piece vinyl track that comes with the Hobby Boss kit. Maybe they shot a coat of primer so the bumpers would stand out more.

There's no (IMO) logical reason why the company would do announce an update set for one company's model and then do it for another. It says Bronco, so, conspiracy theories apart, we should assume it's for the Bronco LWS...

Hi Owen: I agree with Al and Jim - I'm pretty sure that's the Bronco kit, probably under a coat of primer. The excellent rivet detail on the hull and the nice individual track links are giveaways. As well, the first of the Hobby Boss kits that is due to be released is the late production version, which has a different drive sprocket and arrangement of the bumpers (three bumpers vs. four). My bet is that Lion Roar will release another set for the Hobby Boss kit when it comes out; unless the Bronco and Hobby Boss hulls are identical in size and shape, a set designed for one kit wouldn't likely fit the other without some modifications. Two plastic 1/35 Land Wasser Schleppers - who'd have guessed? Cheers, Scott

PMMS reviewed it, and it says that the resin needs quite some extra work for it to sit right, and the kit need trimming on corners. He used the Bronco kit for his review: LINK

This is only for the bronco model. True Details has a version for sale for the Hobby Boss version and it is absolutely fantastic! The two hulls are different and it would be very difficult to get the Bronco version to fit the HB version and vice versa. Cheers!

Wouldn't medical bandage from a first aid kit at home look equally good, of not better when rolled up? It would also be way more flexible and would eliminate any niggles with fitting. Or for that matter, a putty-sausage rolled in bandage?

Sounds easy, but if you compared how much time it would take you to make it, vs the sale price, I think you would find it would cost you more to do it yourself.

Resin apart, the really sensible way to get bumpers for the LWS is to use those which are woven. By complete coincidence, here's a link to the Thachweave ones: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/3850
