After-market accessories have tended to be items produced by smaller, specialized companies. Now however, Dragon Models (through their Cyber-Hobby subsidiary) have joined other manufacturers in launching their own range.

Initially, there are SIX new sets - two toolsets and four sets of replacement tracks.

Dealing with the Tool Sets first:

3875 - OVM Tool Set for Pz IV Ausf.D/E

3877 - OVM Tool Set for Panther G

As German tools were pretty much 'standardized' both sets will have many elements which will be equally suitable for vehicles other than those indicated.

Moving onto the tracks. Two sets of DS (Dragon Styrene) and two sets of Magic Tracks:

3861 - DS Track for Tiger I

3866 - DS Track T48 for Sherman

The remaining two sets are:

3853 - Magic Track for Panther F/G

3867 - Magic Track for StuG. III C-G (Ausf. F-H) - 40cm wide type

Now credit, where credit is due. These are, IMO, a good start for a release program which deserves to sell well. Not everyone has the money to buy Friuls and other replacement track sets are sometimes quite difficult to get hold of. Other companies - most notably AFV Club, have done pretty well out of sets like this.

As to the M4 tracks, many of us have been advocating this move for several years now (since the introduction of the DS material) and its to be hoped that this is only the first in sets which will cover ALL the principal track types. Sherman builders are lucky in that due to the design of the originals, few of the 'T Series' tracks actually look convincing with seperate links - the 'rubber band' type is usually preferable!
