Dragon Models have just announced their latest 1/35th scale figure set.
Not many surprises with this one - once again pretty familiar ground is being covered with this new set. That said, there DOES seem to be a fair amount of 'movement' in the set and, with the uniform choice it's going to be one which will 'slot-in' perfectly with other similar releases.

DRA 6477 - 20th Waffen Grenadier Division, Baltic States 1944 (4 Figures Set)

Weaponry in the set is pretty varied as well and includes a Kar98 with grenade launcher, Panzerfaust, MP-40, G41(W) semi-automatic rifle, Geballte Ladung concentrated charge (grenade bundle) and a Molotov cocktail.

The set will be in the company's 39-45 Series and is scheduled for release in December 2008.

Another useful set, remindes me of Austria The Last Battle in winter clothes. Hope the faces are as good as the CAD images

I would agree with you that these figures are all anti tank fighters. They may be good separately. The rifle grenadier seems very relaxed when compared to the other three. i think it is the first time Dragon have featured the G-41 rifle (I may be wrong). tamiya has a G-41 in its german weapon set.

The guy with the grenade bundle would be a simple conversion to a just-wounded soldier!

Rudi, It's definitely not Ron Volstad box-art. I think they do themselves a disservice when they have "less-than-Volstad" box-art. I have been persuaded, in the past, to buy a model strictly based on the artwork on the front of the box. Just a thought. Otherwise....I'm sure I'll buy this set....I always buy the sets with winter clothing...Allied or Axis. Jeff

Otherwise....I'm sure I'll buy this set....I always buy the sets with winter clothing...Allied or Axis. German winter clothing always looks so cool , looks like the one piece winter overalls is also a 1st

Hey Jeff, I agree - IMO it looks almost like a first pass or draft of the box-art Rudi

IIRC, there's a G-41 in either of the two German weapon sets Dragon released in the '90s (I'll check when I get back home. I think there was both of the prototypes...), but I think too that this is the first time the rifle is included in a figure set.

I have also come accross references that show that the germans would tie a stick grenade to a jerry can and use it as an anti-tank weapon. The tamiya german oil drum set has a small illustration and a couple of resin sets have them ready made. That might be dragon's next anti tank set ,after the molotov cocktail.
