I am a bit confused by the modern sets, tho. What kits are they supposed to go with? Other than the Tamiya Hummer there is what?

Now I'm not sure about this at the moment and due to a remodeling project reference material is buried but the tire chains on the M20 wheels looks like a jewelery chain insted of oval link chain. Like I said, my reference material is buried and I can't really verify it right now so can someone take a look please. Otherwise the other stuff looks great.

Mayve it's 'reverse-releasing' ? Normally an AM company releases AFTER the kit manufacturer, maybe Black-Dog are trying to encourage the production of models to go with THEIR updates?

I like the Protze set too. I already have that kit in the stash. I also like the Humvee set.. but are those "half doors" correct for a vehicle in Iraq? Pitty there aren't any modern (Iraq) US figures to go with it Hisham

I was wondering myself... However, this picture from Wikipedia seems to show both "styles" on the same wheel: Furthermore, Squadron's reference U.S. Armored Cars in Action shows (page 23) two more vehicles with the "jewelry" chain: KANSAS TERROR and another M8 from the 4th Cavalry Squadron. So I believe, it's OK...

Wish they'd bump up them molds to 1/35th. Nifty stuff.

In the future, I think they might. They've got their website set up for 1/72nd, 48th and 1/35th releases. However, in one sense, I hope they DON'T. There are lots of excellent 1/35th producers out there and it's to be hoped that 48th scale will contine to provide sufficient business for companies like BD to succeed and concentrate on the scale...

There is always a need for more 1/35th scale accessory sets, but how many different sets can you make until it starts to repeat itself, you could buy great sets from Legend and Blast Models and still have some parts left over to add to other models. So i also hope they do not venture into the world of 1/35th scale model accessories.

I tend to agree with Jim and Phil. There is already a lot of 1/35 stuff out there, 1/48 is just trying to catch up.
