Formations Models are now in the position, that for any serious Sherman modeller, they are the first 'port-of-call' for anyone looking for enhancements/conversions for Sherman kits. These new releases can only enhance this reputation....
Two new products are now available from Formations The first, #F025 is to correct the errors in Tamiya's kit (35190) by providing a set of straight return rollers for the suspension. Assembly is facilitated by the fact that they are single castings.

The second release from Formations is a highly-interesting conversion set:

# F008T, USMC M4a2 - 'TARAWA'

This conversion set is an upgrade of # F008 Which will build a model of one of the 12 M4a2s which saw action during the invasion of the Japanese-held Island of Tarawa in the Pacific.

The kit includes the following parts:

Decals for all 12 (known) Vehicles which were landed at Tarawa.

New Siren Casting

M34a1 Mantlet

Set of Idler wheels (with front and back detailing)

Complete Turret with accurate casting marks

Complete Upper-hull (all-welded)

Hull applique plates

Detailed Front Fenders

Pioneer Tools

Periscopes/Covers

Various 'donor' kits can be used with this conversion set. Formations list the ACADEMY M10/M10 Duckbill, M36, or Achilles as suitable.

The cost of this kit is $55 and it has to be noted that this is a LIMITED EDITION kit.
