Dragon Models has released a 1/35 scale kit of the PaK 43/3 L/71.
DRA6522 1/35 PaK 43/3 L/71 mit Behelfslafette was originally destined for insertion in the Jagdpanther tank destroyer. The weapon comes with its Behelfslafette (this German term translates as ‘simplified gun mount’) useful for static defense. This cruciform platform is fully functional, with the legs able to swing up or down.

The kit also comes with a gun carriage based around the Sd.Ah.202 limber designed to transport the weapon and its cruciform mount.

This will allow modelers to show the cannon in transport mode on wheels, or dismounted ready for combat.

Dragon list the kit's features as follows:

- New Pak 43 Gun can be finely presented in both travel or combat style
- Newly tooled Pak 43 gun mount w/authentic detail
- Cruciform legs are fully functional and highly detailed
- One-piece gun barrel
- New gun mantlet
- Gun sleeve is slide molded
- Muzzle brake by slide mold
- Workable breech w/shell insertion possible
- Newly tooled gun cradle offers great internal detail
- Gun-crew seat and hand wheel realistically made
- Newly tooled gun sight w/accurate design
- Full detail for trailer system and fittings
- Individual suspension components
- Goundbreaking injection-molded multi-layered tires w/extreme detail
- Slide-molded one-piece front and rear trailer units.

A [/quote] Haha Kudos for MP+HG reference, great stuff. i must admit, it looks like a tank destroyer, with an invisible hull. you cans ee the crew all floating around inside. i have one niggle, i wish DML would release bigger cad preview/advertising drawings, its a bit of a pain that they are so small.

Question, Does any one have an actual picture of this gun (a real gun that is). I did a search for it and looked at many armor-related sites and could not find a single pic in this configuration. I found a couple of photos of 'regular' Pak 43s but none of this actual version. Rob

Aaaaaah yes...but when?! When will it be available in a store near me (or web based retailer, conveniently located no farther away than my laptop)? And how many millions of dollar, pounds, francs, yen or sacks of gold will this pile of plastic, rendered in its most delicious and undoubtebly accurate form (Dragon never makes mistakes as we all know), set me back? And how many rivet counters will pour over this delectable bounty only to obsess over its form and demand PE update sets galore? Woe...woe is me
