Thanks! Self-Propelled I'm looking forward to this and, of course to the resurrection of Tristar! I'm certain it will be a great model.
BTW: Have they mentioned a word on the paintability of the tires? TimTam27 Hi,
I got a bit excited there for a split-second, I thought it was going to be the early flat roof version. I think it was the lower version of the anti-grenade screen that fooled me. Alas (for me) it is a later one. I kinda doubt that Tristar will go to the tooling expense of making a new upper hull specially to do an early 222 as there wouldn't be a huge demand for it (Would there?) Most people seem to prefer the later versions of a vehicle.
Makes me wonder why the manufactu... toadman1 Finally!! I've been looking for to this one for awhile.

Damraska The Tristar 222 looks very promising! I am not exactly jazzed about the rubber tires, but Bronco may come to the rescue with an after-market set and resin replacements already exist. The detail in the suspension looks impressive and the steerable front wheels are very welcome. I note that Tristar included the reinforcing bars coming off the front bumper--the first time I have see that on a 221-223 series kit. I wonder if Tristar will include some visor options for more flexibility.
The Pa... bizzychicken Are the Tracks the same ones that came with Tristars Brummbar and are the wheel set the correct size now, not like the earlier set. Also does anyone know how much these new wheel and track sets are going to cost? Cheers |
