HobbyBoss Summer Releases

Hobbyboss announced several new Armor/AFV kit this summer. We are a little late with these, but better late than never.

The new items include a German Land-Wasser-Schlepper II-Prototype (#82461), a German VK1602 LEOPARD (#82460), and a ZSL-92B IFV (#82456). All are 1/35 in scale. The Land-Wasser-Schlepper will be joined an almost identical release from Dragon in the coming months. The more interesting item is the Leopard, a 'what-if' of a sort of smaller version of the Panther which was cancelled in 1943 according to information on the HobbyBoss site. The Chinese ZSL-92 IFV, which entered service in 1995, rounds out the bunch.

For a paper subject, the Leopard looks very interesting. I read about that while I was researching the Panzer III.

That Leopard does look cool. Wasn't HB going to release a Merkava IV as well? Any word on that beast? Regards and Aloha, Johnny B.

Uh. Is it just me or have I been seeing many LWS kits of late? Haven't really been paying attention to tracked stuff for some time now though, so I could be wrong about that. The Leopard looks very nice though. Great kit to display alongside the Pz IIL Luchs.

No. The phenomenon is very real. Variants and sub-variants being released by multiple manufacturers (I make this the sixth now, in the space of less than 2 years). The LWS is fast shaping up to be the "new Tiger" - Steve

Really nice stuff. Definitely something different from yet another Tiger or Panther. Could be nice to see the Leopard next to a Puma armoured car, since they appear to have the same turret. Thanks for the update
