SKP Model have sent us details of a NEW Update set in 1/35th scale.
The New Set is:

SKP091: Conversion set for Tamiya Hetzer

The premise is simple, the set includes parts to update Tamiya's Hetzer to a LATE version. Included are Replacement wheels, New intakes, and (i'd imagine) a new set of their New tracks. Also included are a couple of sheets of PE for items such as replacement fenders.

What is the quality of SKP? Any more photos of the muffler-it seems to have a strange shape to me. Dan

Theres nothing strange about the muffler. Its the later style and this set converts the Tamiya Hetzer kit from a mid to a later production type. There is even there is a provision for the filler hatches that should be present on the later vehicles with a choice b/w one or two hatches! SKP does pretty good quality stuff though......... Chris

Their resin sets and figures are excellent. I'd go for this - it seems like a pretty comprehensive set. the trick then is to find the hetzer at a good price.

Chris [/quote] Chris, Just looked at my hetzer photos and I still beleive it has a odd shape-there seems to be a flair at the end which I'm not seeing in my pics. It would have been nice to have a four hole idler wheel in the set. Dan

Dan, I see what youre referring to...... This is a flame arrestor that would be RARE for sure. I have only seen it in one pic and it eludes me were I saw it it might have been in a Japanese publication from the eighties. The four hole idler would be nice - the Eduard one lack the hub detail but is close...... Chris

Chris, Maybe a post-war G13? That's what I was thinking... If it had a more common late muffler and a four holer, I'd go for it. I'm quite suprised that some other resin AM company hasn't done this. Dan

SKP quality is very good, I have their set of damaged wheels for Hetzer (also late) and they are very good indeed. SKP also makes different idlers for Hetzer, including 4 hole variant (5 different variant total, probably that is why they are not included so you can choose).

Do their roadwheels come with interior bolts? Dan
