To accompany their new 17 pounder anti-tank gun, Bronco have now announced the release of a suitable crew as well.
The 17 pounder is a long overlooked famous piece of WW2 artillery, and was renowned as one of the few weapons capable of taking on the Tiger or Panther at anything more than suicidal range. Bronco was praised by many modellers when they recently announced the release of a kit of the gun, and justifiably so.

Now, Bronco have announced the release of a five member crew for the gun. All of the crew are depicted in typical British khaki drill, with gaiters, basic webbing and boots. Two of the figures are depicted as loaders, complete with shells.

One of the figures is shown kneeling at the sights, ready to fire, one is shown with binoculars, presumably searching for a target, and the last is shown with hands on hips casting a belligerent eye over the activities of the other four. This one probably needs sergeant's or corporal's stripes!

No doubt these figures will also be suitable for other WW2 British artillery pieces, eg the six pounder AT gun or 25 pounder, albeit with some alteration.

Definitely one for my wish list.

Great news, just received the kit of the gun which is very nice, so a dedicated crew is just what's needed.
