Overview
Another informative Walk Around book from Squadron/Signal Publications written by Lou Drendel. The book covers most of the history from the early development of the YC1-30 to the latest development of the C-130J.

The book consists of 57 pages of text, with over 130 black and white photos, profiles and illustrations. There is a two page color center insert that can be pulled out and framed that illustrates 8 profiles of the Herc in its many color schemes. A lot of attention is focused on the H model, which was the most produced of all C-130ís. On page 36, thereís a large cutaway of the H model. There is also a section with an illustration that covers some of the variant gunships.

Conclusion
A good reference book, more for those who are interested in the C-130's military history as it does not provide many detailed photos. Squadron/Signal Publications has an excellent Walk Around, series is number 31 which covers the aircraft from nose to tail.
