Introduction

From my point of view you can never have enough accessories, boxes, shovels, rolls and the like and of course you never know when a set of spanners and tool boxes might come in handy.

Inside the Armour have recently released a nifty set of spanners and tool boxes in etched brass to give you that little bit of extra detail.

The Set

The set consists of 3 frets, 2 of which contain the makings for 2 tool boxes and trays. The 3rd fret contains the maintenance tools. This consists of a variety of types and sizes of spanners and a selection of engine rings of 4 different sizes. The spanners are very nicely done with a range of styles and sizes to fix the job.

Also included with the set is a small fold out set of instructions to build the tool boxes. You will need to add a plastic rod handle, but these should build up nicely.

Conclusion

A handy and well produced set to add that something extra to your vehicle build or equip a figure or two with. As they say "the devil is in the detail" and these will add interest to any mechanical type build you want to show. Whether in a maintenance type of situation, or an on-board vehicle repair, these should be a useful item.

A very handy set for the modeller. This set is designed for British tanks, but you could use them on most any type of engine repair job. Not an essential, but a very useful, set of accessories.
SUMMARY
Highs: A good variety of sizes and styles of spanners and the boxes should look the part when built.
Lows: None I can think of.
Verdict: Highly Recommended.

Greying slightly, but young at heart. I've been teaching adults off and on for most of my life. Left the services in 85 and first started modelling in about 87 for a few years. Then I had a long spell when I didn't build anything (too busy) and really just got started again during the summer of ...
