Waffen '46 Konigsjagdpanther

Thought I would share some pics of my build up of FCM's "What if" Panther tank destroyer. It was a fun build and I experimented with a few different techniques while building it. It will be part of a diorama I have planned. The figure is an S&T Miniatures figure of a Tiger I commander that was used for this vehicle. It was sculpted by Bill Horan. The picture I included was the box art of the figure. I converted it by replacing the head, entire left arm and both hands so it would fit in the cupola of my build. He's painted in acrylics and oils. The kit itself is a resin conversion from FCM out of Germany. It is based on the Tamiya Panther G late, Kit #35170. It consists of the entire upper hull which is cast in grey resin, and also a turned aluminum barrel. I used a partial set of Eduard PE on it as well as their PE side skirts, and a set of Frui metal tracks. I did some minor tweaks to the build as the instructions are written in German, and the included pictures are not that clear. I omitted the armored front side skirts as they were warped. Overall a fun build of some what-if German tank destroyer. Thanks, Matthew~
