Modelimex have released pics of Valom's very neat looking new Brigand. Now, this is a subject I'd reallly like to see in 1:48 too (hint, hint, Valom ...)

I'll be getting one, I'm sure. If Valom worked much in 1/48 I'd beat down his door, but there again, it would nudge fifty quid if it existed.

Hi Sean

Please write us a Review if you get the Brigand before anyone else here.

Hopefully, very healthy sales of Valom's forthcoming 1:48 An-2 series will convince them to produce more quarterscale kits.

All the best

Rowan

Very nice kits, however, I wish they'd do more of them in 1/48 scale. I'd been waiting for the An-2 "Colt" for a long time, and finding out how incredibly expensive it is has been a terrible disappointment. I'll never be able to afford it, at that price. Some of these companies need to remember that we're in the depths of a recession, and may be for some time; asking so much for their kits is unwise. Leave out the fancy metal and resin parts, which drive up the price, and just give us well-molded, quality kits of uncommon aircraft, and they'll sell like crazy. More affluent modelers can still find the expensive accessories they want on the aftermarket.

I agree , i would love to see a new 1/48 one of these. The Brits were always good at making elegant twin prop fighters , this and the Whirlwind have always been favs of mine.

I agree that the price is to expensive but the resin and etched items is for me the reasen i like these packedges all in one box.
Take the Special Hobby boxes brilliant models fine resin and etced items for a fair price.
When you take for example an Hasagawa model and must beying a resin cockpit it cost
you more then a Special Hobby including the special items.
Peter
