Hello,

Well I already gave notice I already made a start with my WNW SE5a project, but here's the official thread. Reason for starting a bit earlier is the fact I want to get this one finished for the Euro Scale Modelling 24rd of october. I am not sure if I will make this especially since I just had a week's holiday.

At this stage I am this far:

Next this is putting on the topwing.

Cheers, Nico

Outstanding job so far Nico. I can only sit back and wish I could manipulate my fat, overworked hands to build like that.

You know, I just ordered one of these kits yesterday. Since I've never built a WWI job, I hope you'll be kind enough to post further showcasing your superb efforts. I just started purchasing WWI last month, and now have three in 1/48. I'll need all the help I can get.

Wonderful job. Guy

Top wing applied yesterday, which was of course a piece of cake. Ready for the big rigging job now. Guy: thanks for the compliment.

Nope not the kitmarkings but Pheon Model's set, doing Rhys David's plane, the one who shot Werner Voss.

Remember to go with the dumbell and not the broad white band.

I am already quit a while busy doing the wiring. I 'll be honest I find this PE streamlined wire not easy to attach. I have so far spent many many hours, and thing are looking in the end to go allright. Hope to have some pic's soon.

Cheers, Nico

Are you using the PE connectors as well? I've got some to use when I get to the rigging stage with the F2B (long way off). I should go and do some work on it now . . .
Regards
James

I tried those, but gave up. For me they are too tiny and they snatched very easily. Probably some top notch builders will be able to use them , since I consider myself to be a more or less average builder it's too difficult for me...

Now just one other thing. I mentioned in some other topic that I already started the SE5a for the coming Euro Scale Models IPMS meeting coming 24rd of October. I am at the point now where I can be certain I won't have the SE5a finished for this. I believe I did not mention that a friend of mine and me are going to showour collection of WWI models. We thought it's be a good incentive. As I have mentioned a few times before WWI items are not so popular as in the countries around us. Here are a few of the models my friend Paul already packed for the event

Paul will show about 55 models, I will do around 30.

Cheers, Nico

Hello folks,

well finally a little update. I would like to have finished the model by now, but life got in the way. So, for now it's just an update:

The PE wire looks quit good, but I had a hard time getting them fixed. Stille it's very fragile and during further work some of 'm came lose. This is mainly due to the fact the top wing is still a bit wobbly.

My excuse for the bad photographs, I hope to do better next time!

Cheers, Nico

Very nice Nico !
I like the look of the rigging , saw the PE sheet a while back and was impressed with that . Seeing them on a finished model is even better !!

What was your mix for the PC10 ?

Cheers
