Hi guys, I'm looking for the tool rack of the US army as used on tanks like Sherman and so. You know, the one with pickhandle, shovel, axe etc on it. Is there a company that makes these in resin or PE ? scale 1/35 Gé |

GE, I have seen the rack in the Eduard M46 PE. A potential source in resin might be Formations. I would e-mail Rob Ervin and ask as I know that he does the pioneer tools as a separate accessory but not sure of the rack. I recently sourced one from a sprue found in the AFV Club Sho't Kal kit - the sprue looked to be from the AFV Club M41 kit...

Hi John, Yes, I found out that Formations has the tool set as separate items. Problem is I just ordered something from Rob last week and I found out too late about the tools. If I have to order them now I have to pay the shipping again. And just to buy a complete model of the M-41 or any other tank would surely be too expensive. Thanks anyway for responding !!! Gé |

Ge, I was not recommending that you purchase an AFV Club M41 kit for the toolrack, however, you might want to ask if there are any Sho't Kal owners that might want to sell or give you the remainder of the M41 D sprue after they remove the headlights... I would concur that it is a waste to purchase a M41 for the rack. Perhaps Frenchy's Verlinden set would be better fro you. If you would like, I can send you the one from my M88A1. John John |

1. Shermans didn't use a pioneer tool rack. The tools were mounted individually.
2. The racks are available on a number of Eduard sets. For example, they are selling their M-41 Skybow set for US$4.95 right now. I'm sure there are others on sale from time to time.
