OK, here is my next project. It is a Dragon Flakpanzer Wirbelwind that I am going to do with PE fenders from Griffon, Lion mark barrels (awesome stuff!) and some interior parts from Trumpeter.
This is where I am now (interior parts were primed 1 year ago when I was building Trumpeter model, but then I removed it).

One day I will get up the courage to leave a model in bare plastic just to see all the PE and metal bits in their natural glory.

Interior got some elfbein painting - I mixed Vallejo white with Vallejo sand. Looks good, IMHO. Also you can note that I drilled the hatches, so they are workable!

The awsomeness of that PzIV is too much!!!
I can't tell exactly from the photo's, but it looks like your barrels are alligned well. Was this difficult? I have built DML's quad flak with plastic barrels, where I could bend the barrels slightly to make them parallel.
I do like brass for 20mm flak, but I am concerned about the allignment. I remember the attachment points for the 20mm housing to the mount was very minimal.

Hi Mark, yes, I think the barrels aligned really well. The attachment was pretty straightforward - cut plastic ones, drill in the middle, dry fit, then glue with CA glue. I use a gel glue so you can move brass a bit before it is finally hardened.
Thanks for watching!

Small update here. I think I am done with painting and weathering the interior now.
Not much to be seen after I will glue the hull...unfortunately

I decided to do Zimm as per reference image - used Tamiya putty for it and AFV club Zimmerit tool + self-made tools for Zimmerit around MG mount.
Also I soldered PE fenders from Griffon, it is my first soldering experience. Now I will take a 2-week brake and continue detailing afterwards.

Finally I got some time for my Wirbelwind.
What was done:
1) all tools received PE clamps either from Alliance Model Works or from my spare PE parts box.
2) Jack is from AMW
3) I got modelkasten latest version Pz IV tracks
4) rear and front lights togather with their cables installed
5) finished mudguards
Only some minor stuff remains before painting!

I painted wheels and other small details, did a wash and now started red primer chipping.

Maybe I will find me one.
And are the metal barrels expensive?

Tim, if you are interested in accuracy - it is difficult to find pictures of Wirbelwind based on Ausf H. without zimmerit. Usually they are mixed hull version and with zimmerit.
I am doing the first vehicle from this reference image (but I am not going to destroy it, let's say mine is before it's death)
And the other one is on Ausf. G hull without zimmerit. So you can easily pick more recent release of Dragon based on Ausf. G. hull and do it.
As for the price of metal barrels - I took them for 16 USD here.
