Well, finally I post another build. Or the beginnings of one in this case.

I have this kit indoors trev and I seem to recall that there is an issue of the moulded zimmerit around the turret rear door opening and the door hinge mounting points cause issues with getting a good join.

I am building this kit for the 88 campaign. The turret didn't give me any problems. The only problem I have had are the brackets that hold the fenders to the hull. They are at slightly too steep of an angle. This is an easy fix, though.

Everybody is building this kit for some reason. This kit is extremely fun. I have enjoyed every second of it. I added some dried mud splashes last night and I should have pictures up soon. The college life is making it hard to upload photos and even work on the kit. I picked up some gun blue the other day for the Spade Ace tracks I have going for it. I also have been working on the base for it. The base is going to be a dirt road with some grass on each side. I owe my friend Mike Roof a lot of thanks for the all the help he has given me. Also credit to Dave Verretoni for his help. I should hopefully have this done by the end of the semester.

Every time I see that KT kit I get a little sad. Had a chance to snag it for $30 bucks at a workshop earlier this year and stupid me didn't think to bring more money. Oh well. Love the build, looking forward to how it all builds up. Funny, I always assume other modelers to be a decade or four older than me, nice to see another college age dude on here lol.

The big pain in the neck was that there were no locating spots on the turret for the spare track hangers, you had to measure them out for yourself.Otherwise a nice build.

Your camo job came out great

Thanks. I have noticed this a friend who built the kit before said to attach them to the tracks first and then glue them on.

Well here are photos of the last few day's work.

My base has yet to be painted, just celluclay on top of two layers of Styrofoam. The sides of the foam are coated in plaster and hand painted black.

I owe a lot to these books. Most of them borrowed from Mike. Thanks again Mike.

Maaaaannn you're lucky to have an expert like that so close by. Mike's work is amazing. You're doing awesome too, all those references seem to have paid off.

Mike is one heck of friend/mentor. I have learned loads about modeling from him since I joined AMPS. The references have been fantastic as well.

Mostly finished based. The tanks is still in progress. Thoughts?
