I thought I would add that although the show format is pretty much set, it is never boring, Their are Air Shows going on while parades, mock battles, and displays are on the ground. The people who bring their vehicles here to display them tend to return year after year, however something new tends to show up every year also.. This year a couple of New Vehicles at the show (at least for me), where the U.S. M20 armored car, The M3A1 Scout Car, and I was most surprised at seeing a Spitfire, Told it was a MkXVIII (18) got a lot of photos for a photo set just before they pushed it out of the display area and onto the field for a flight.

very cool; I live near Rockford, IL and they have a huge re-enactment the third week of September at the Midway Village historical site in Rockford; over 1200 re-enactors (US, British, German, Soviet, Japanese, Romanian, Ukrainian). Lots of vehicles including a Locust tank, Sherman, Stug, Hetzer, T-34/85, half-tracks, all kinds of stuff.
