Hi all,
I have an idea for a diorama based in Berlin and was wondering if there were any AA (3.7 Mobelwagen) or tank destroyers (Marder III with the 7.62 cm gun) units in Berlin in 1944-1945?
I tried searching the net but had no luck so far.
Thank you all for your help.

the Marder with Russian 76mm gun was in Russia in Early part of war Barbarossa , I doubt if any survived to 45 in Berlin. New designs came out along the timeline replacing it. Yes? No?

No. There is a pic of one in 1945. Not sure of the location in Germany though.

Cheers,

Christophe

I would like to see this picture. He asked if it would be in Berlin specifically.
The Marder III, Sd.Kfz. 139, with the Russian 76mm gun, PAK 76[r] stopped being produced in Nov 1942, only 275 vehicles were produced. An additional 175 vehicles were converted from Panzer 38(t)'s in 1943. These fought in the Eastern front, Russia & North Africa.
Marder III Ausf. M, Sd.Kfz. 138 with the PAK 40 took over after that production run. Being produced till 1944.
The gentlemen is asking if the earliset version of the Marder III with the Russian 76mm gun, aka Pak 36[r] would have survived the Russian front since 1942 to 1945 , to be seen in Berlin in 1945....I doubt this very much. Like I said, I would like to see this picture with proof that its in Berlin in 45....if the picture is true, then I wanna build a diorama of one too in Berlin!
I want to build all the Marder versions...Ark Models is the only one I found with the Panzer II chassis. I have 3 versions from Dragon, all having the Pak 40. I want to get the Tamiya version also...gezz..I'm way off topic...sorry.

Thank you all for your replies.
Cristophe, I would also like to see the photograph you are referencing, mainly for inspiration purposes.
Cheers to you all!

@David: Bronco makes an updated Marder IID -- much better than that ARK Models (ex-Alan) kit.

Not intending to threadjack Sebastian. I was replying to David who was replying to your question, discussing the possibility of Panzerjager in Berlin '45
