Any early indications if it appears better, worse, or about the same as the Hong model one that came out recently?

No more comments or comparisons for fear of being branded a "negative kit trasher who is only hurting the hobby and new company sales"... I wish the people who don't like "negative" comments and are so worried about new companies succeeding would put their money where their mouths are, like I did, and buy both kits and find out which is better for themselves

I'm just going to enjoy building them

Looks to be well researched based on all the options they offer.

I got it from Hobbyeasy.. and I've noticed that, for some reason, they get their MENG kits a lot earlier than Lucky... Also, Lucky is the distributor of Takom, and again for some reason, Hobbyeasy doesn't get new Takom kits anymore... Don't know exactly what's going on there

Agreed.
Meng's definitely on a roll these days. I can't think of more than a couple of their kits that aren't somewhere on my want list.

Looking at the instructions, do the tracks look wrong? Someone on FB said that they were wrong or something.

Link tracks have always been one of my weak points, so I thought I'd see how these click together.. they take a little while to clean up because the sprue connection points are in a somewhat tight spot.. but clicking them together wasn't too bad once I figured out how to do it.. I started out holding them up in my hands trying to click them together.. but that was a bad idea.. so I put them on the desk and I would press down on the one on the end of the run and then press the new one into it, and that worked out pretty well.
