There are bunches of car kits that can used as well. I did a 1/24 1939 Ford pick-up as one that was used by the US Army Air Corps at Hickam Field in 1941.
I'm just finishing a 1929 Ford Woody as one used by the New Jersey National Guard during the 1930s.
Too bad there is no easy way to do the M880 or M1010 series of CUCVs. The Chevy Blazer ones are still used in reserve units for a runabout.

Despite having a shocking GB completion success rate 
I think I have something that could suit this GB and lessen the amount of scratchbuilding required :
I have a few Corgi 1/50th scale Mack B-Series die-casts laying around so ........... I won't bother with the thingy that goes bang bang on the trailer (not my area).

For those still struggling for ideas here's a few:Austin-Western graders - civilian model merely painted green:
Euclid dump trucks - used direct from the factory (still in factory colours), look up Operation Blue Jay:
Fordson tractors - often still in original colours (nice 35th scale kit available):
Mack LRVSW - for the adventurous. Used on the DEW Line construction:

Did some shopping, and my entry will be Hasegawa's Heian Maru in 1/350. It's Japanese ocean liner pressed into IJN service as auxiliary submarine tender. There's still three months wait until campaign start, and I'll post some pictures then...
My other option was MPM's KLM DC-2, which was used also by Luftwaffe. But right now (almost) civilian ship sounds more interesting, specially with its splinter camo.

Hi, Great ideas guys. I'm happy that will be something else besides vehicles but I'm big fan of vehicles. Nice will be see ships, planes and building machines of course. I bought Toyota AB Phaeton from Tamiya.
