Tom, I am just joking. I hope you know that. I do exactly the same thing with details and interrupts never to be seen again.

Hi Mike, that's ok - I just didn't have time to ping back a witty riposte! Going down the "fiddly detail nobody will ever notice" rabbit-hole is what I feel the hobby is all about. After all, I'd hate to waste that kind of overachievement on my day job...

But seriously folks, I've got a ton of half-finished projects that would be great for this, and a few still on the starting-blocks too. I like the special ribbon for 3+ entries, but I'm not sure the Armorama campaigns system has that flexibility - I suspect it's one ribbon type only hard-coded into the system. But it couldn't hurt to ask Jim S.

Here are some of my productions seven years ago, for a number of reasons I have not done them yet.

Blackwater; Beautiful work and compared to my building history a seven year delay is perfectly understandable. (Have a towed 88 I just finished that I probably started 20 years ago!)

Attn: Scratch Builders

Gentlemen

I am proposing a scratch builders campaign - any subject, any scale, any era, any medium.

The model does not have to be totally scratch built. Only a significant portion or a single significant feature needs be scratched to qualify. Started builds allowed. (a chance to finish some of those shelf queens!)

Also if editorial management allows - models being built for other campaigns/contests would be allowed AND for those finishing three or more builds a special ribbon in addition to the primary ribbon.

Would you perhaps be interested?

Best Regards
Michael Koenig

Been working of late on a couple of M26 MLRS rocket pods as loads for my LHS trucks and CROPS containerized flatracks, Here are the first results. Of course the kit I bought only had two pods so for the time being I had to multiply them using Photoshop.

F.Y.I. - It took considerably longer to place all those many decals than it did to construct the pods themselves! However it became immediately clear that the decals make the model.

As I say for me to file the paperwork - had planned to do that last Sunday but plans changed. Started builds tentatively approved so OK to start any build you have in mind.

Hi there folks

I have to say I had lost all interest in forums when Photobucket did the dirty on everyone and left all the fabulous work of my favourite builders' works unsupported and photo less !

I will be meeting up with my IT savvy pall this weekend and hopefully get my laptop tweeked to some alternative photo hosting site !

I need you guys egging me on to build my stalled Scratch build projects and most want to finish my Lightweight Landrover and a UBRE (Unit Bulk Refueling Equipment) pod to put on the back of the fantastic KFS Bedford MK ! ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Both builds will be in 1/24 scale !

I am still in awe of all you guys with the multiple skill sets and know I still have such a long way to go to get to the standards of you guys !

I will get myself sorted and therefore please count me in on the campaign !

All the best guys

Nige

I do apologize (for the second time) regarding the possible scratch built campagin proposal but according to the Doctors I went from having the Flu straight into having a severe case of what they termed the common cold. While getting better on both those fronts I now have some sort of inner ear infection that is causing me to have vertigo which is seriously throwing my balance and eyesight off. I have had only about three days of somewhat smooth sailing since Thanksgiving. (In which I worked on my 1/32nd scale Lysander.) Other than that there has been no modeling and little or no posting during that time.

I wonder Angel if you might care to post the request for the scratch built campaign in my stead?

Mike

p.s. To Tim Martin - you have not heard from me for all the same reasons listed above. Hope your wife is doing well.

Hey Mike - sorry to hear about what sounds like a nasty flu/cold! You've been slogging through this for a while now - hope you're feeling better soon!

As for the campaign, no worries - I can't start for a while anyway -lol...not exclusively scratchbuilding right now, but I'm building another tedious T-55...the Aber and styrene add ons just deserve one more build!

Get well soon -
Nick

Started Takom's Hanomag SS-100 last weekend-it will tow a Flakvierling 38(150+ Campaign build)
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/259371&ord=&page=6

My intention was to have a plain OOB build.

It all changed when I saw the big-and I mean biiig- engine.

It was crying for some detailing.

Then I found some nice pics from a Hanomag restoration, that gave me enough material for frame detailing.
Servo Bremse( brake boost) scratchbuilt:

Mounted with braking lines to rear axle:

I scratchbuilt the foot brake valve yesterday and will post pictures soon.

Thanks Mike!

This project is a kind of "Sharpening the Scratchbuild Saw" in preparation for the coming Scratch Builders Campaign.

Last week while surfing the net I came across some pictures from a Hanomag SS-100 restoration. It proved to be a very good find...

I also looked-unfortunately in vain- for a German website, where- many moons ago-I found an extensive photo report of Hanomag SS-100 clutch change.Wish I bookmarked it then...

Just finished the steering mechanism:
