The captured soldier looks good.

Rather than just a look of contempt, add a bit of nervous fear. I remember a video showing a group of Germans captured during the fighting in Germany and one man was giving the camera man the contempt look, but at the same time his eyes kept moving from side to side so you could tell he was very nervous.

I'll try, I want to show the captive regrettable.

He looks good, will there be somebody watching him/guarding him?

Yes Greg, all figures in assault group will look at him with pity and contempt.

Again returning to the paint, this time directly to the base of the diorama.

Diorama - #MiniArt 36053.

In general, for the first time I deal with the painting of buildings, a rather interesting experience, given the fact that the brick should be painted with a brush. There is absolutely nothing to rant about, everything is painted only in basic colors. Paints as usual - AMMO by Mig Jimenez. Now need to start working with oil, where add highlights, where shadows are, in general, try to do it normally. And I forgot to hang a lamp on the photo, but don't worry.

Actually nothing is fixed, there is still no garbage and things that will appear near the end. I wanted to make an inscription on the building - the Google translator said that the German warehouse - Lager, is straight as a beer. 🌚

Well, I estimated approximately the arrangement of the main elements. I'm still thinking about this. I will be glad to advice if that.

Something like this. 🌚

And offtopic. I'm having problems with models and company Dragon Models. I described them in detail in this topic:
http://armorama.com/forums/259054#2196908
If you can help me, or at least spread my problem - I will be infinitely grateful!

Actually, here, the ground can be considered complete.

Diorama - #MiniArt 36053.

The first time I work with a diorama, it's interesting, but with vignettes it's somehow easier and faster.
There were some controversial points and materials that I used, conclusions drawn, I think the next time everything will be much easier and better.
Now, more about the work itself. Bricks, both large pieces, and small - penopleks, debris - gypsum. A set of furniture - MiniArt 35564. The floor is made of wood. Barrel - I do not remember whose, lay in stocks. Helmets from Dragon, box and shells - MiniArt 35079. The flag on earth had to be closed in Photoshop a little.

Painting and weathering as usual - AMMO by Mig Jimenez.

It remains only to finish the frame in some places and hang a name plate. And now must take up painting figures.

Something like this.🌚

Again trying to poke a brush into the figures that would be good.

Figures for the diorama, and the first - the commander. The figure turned out to be difficult, the top remained plastic with the head, and I sculpt pants. Again painted Oak Leaf, summer variation. Already better on my than last attempt.🌚

Painted Vallejo.

Again trying to poke a brush into the figures that would be good. #2

Figures for the diorama, and the second is a submachine gunner. It was easy and interesting to paint my sculpted figure at first time, and for the first time paint amoeba camo. Very interesting camouflage, I liked working with him. Strongly tried to paint the face of the figure. I tried to make an acceptable NMM on the machine submachine. Just tried to dust the shoes with acrylic. Look like that's it.🌚

Painted Vallejo.

For a long time there has been no progress on my diorama. And here again - attempts to poke a brush into the figures to make it look beautiful # 3.

Figures for a diorama, already the third - a machine gunner. The basis of the figure was a set from MiniArt 35108, which was subjected to my experiments of sculpting and conversion. Head from ARMOR35.

Again Amoeba, again more effort in training face painting. I tried to make an acceptable NMM on DP.

There are still four left...

Clothes painting - Vallejo. I tried the AMMO set for the skin, very good paint, I liked it, I will use it with pleasure.

Something like this.🌚

New, 4th figure for my diorama and here again - attempts to poke a brush in the figures, so it was good.

Sniper of the assault group with a Mosin rifle with an optical sight. The basis of the figure was a set of MiniArt 35108, subjected to my experiments sculpting and conversion. Head from Hornet.

The third "Amoeba" in a row, I try to improve the painting of the face, it seems to be acceptable. Well again, much attention was paid to the tree on the rifle and the NMM on it. Something like that.🌚

There are only three left...

Painted Vallejo. Use AMMO Flesh Tones set, awesome paints for figures, I will use it with pleasure.😄

But also thanks for your explanations and the reasoning behind them, as well as the products used.
Outstanding in all regards, bravo!

Again I poked a brush in the figure, trying to make it look nice #5.

The fifth and final figure of the fighter of the assault group is the assistant to the machine gunner. The basis of the figure was a set from MiniArt 35108, which was subjected to my experiments of sculpting and conversion. Head from ARMOR35.
Already the fourth and last at the moment "Amoeba" in a row. Again a lot of time was spent on the face, but I did not like painting it.Where it should be convex — flat, and vice versa. Well, the wrinkles at the head were too deep, that's it. But overall I am satisfied with the result. Well, again, a lot of attention was paid to NMM. Well, and Tellermine 43, she drank maaany blood, or rather inscriptions on it. I did not see such decals, so I had to manually make the inscription. Something like this.🌚

And there are two more figures to paint, a German and a Soviet tankman. I hope I can do it by the end of the year.

Face — AMMO Flesh Tones Set. Other — Vallejo acrylics.

Thank you Greg!

I tried to sculpt the figures from scratch this summer and autumn. Here's what happened:

I will say so, I'm not very satisfied with myself and I'm not yet ready to sell them.

Again trying to learn how to paint figures so that it was good # 6.

Already the sixth and penultimate figure for a diorama with SU-85 is a wounded and captured German soldier. The basis of the figure was a set from the MiniArt 35040, which was subjected to my experiments of sculpting and conversion. Head from Hornet.

At last I was distracted from "amoeba" and khaki and painted feldgrau. Again much time was spent on painting the face of the figure. Such a dense beard painted for the first time, I liked how it happened. In general, the figure was dyed and simple and difficult at the same time, because the figure was one piece. Also for the first time I tried to inject dust with acrylic paints, and not pigment on clothes. The result is much more interesting. Something like this.

Remained the last, the Soviet tankman from Stalingrad. It seems to be up to the end of the year.

Face — AMMO Flesh Tones Set. Other — Vallejo Acrylic.
