Did a little research. Looks like Trumpeter has a couple good ones. Any opinions of which kit is the best as far as detail and build?

I'd say Bronco kits are the best, at least one of them got engine and interior. Bronco generally provides higher detail level than Trumpeter.

Bronco for the SU-152, Tamiya for the ISU-152.

I have built the Trumpeter SU 152 Early and have to say it was an AWESOME kit.

For the ISU-152, go with Tamiya; great kit

Tamiya's ISU-152 is one of the best kits I ever built.

Tamiya ISU-152 my vote for an excellent kit,very buildable and nicely done.

Good info, sounds like Tamiya it is. Just built their IS-2, was a smooth build.
