Trying to get a model ready for Armorcon next month of the M115 8" howitzer being towed by an M4 High Speed Tractor. You wouldn't want to be in the tractor going downhill with that monster behind you without pneumatic brakes (which the AFV Club kit has, but no brake lines). Frenchy, anybody got photos of the brake lines and how they attached to the tractor? TIA.

Bill that is a fairly easy one: (Well it's easy if you have already built a similar model anyway!)

Brake line filter/regulators on inside trails of M115.
________________________________________________________

Regulators connect to hard piping that runs 3/4 of the way forward on the inside surface of the gun trails. Piping terminates in a shielded (protected) glad hand (air line connector) on each trail as shown above on the AFV Club model.
________________________________________________________

A pair of 20' flexible hoses (attached to the M5 Limber) will connect to the left and right protected glad hands on the gun trails and run forward, over the M5 Limber, to the air service fittings at the rear of the M4 HST. Not shown here - there will be two more glad hand fittings attached to those two small pipes you see in the photo that the flexible hoses will connect to.

M5 Towing Limber with attached air brake hoses. (No brakes on the Limber.)

Hope that gives you what you need.

Bill;

let me look around the house tonight. I have a bunch of photos loaded on an DS card of an 8" towed howitzer. I think I may even have photos of the limber. They'd been lost for two or three years (thanks to my Son), when we found them last month. If I have them, I'll copy them to a DVD for you.

Thanks, Gary. I have some rubber lines from Tamiya for review purposes, they may fit the bill very nicely for this.

If they don't look right, then find a fly tying shop close by. They have all sorts of small diameter rubber in various colors. Plus lead and non lead wire on spools.
