I see no belt to attach the holster .

Magic!! Maybe the holster is suspended from the belt hoding up the trousers, and is under the battle-dress jacket.

I own several WW2 british webbing holsters....
and only the R A C open top versions (no flap to cover gun) has a extended belt loop,so it must be magic than .

Also in the finished picture he wears the cap, in the picture of the parts he has a officers hat...what will it be?

It will be a very useful figure for some diorama on a Stalag Luft. Maybe Stalag 13 or Colditz

Funnier still - in the pic with the officer cap the figure still has sergeant's stripes on his right arm!

It's not an officers cap, it's just a cap issued to anybody.

What determines if it's an officers cap will be the badge on the front, or braiding on the peak if the officer is senior enough.

Officer's cap has cloth peak, OR's cap has plastic one. Until you get to GP with scrambled egg.
