Since you are already using Model Air, why not use Model Air Gloss varnish
in your airbrush?...better control, in my opinion.

Well Model Air varnish is acrylic like their paints, so just
clean out the airbrush with their thinner or airbrush cleaner
with no problems.

Is it safe to use oils and laquers over the acrylic gloss coat?
Thanks.

The general rule is oils over acrylics or acrylics over oils.

Lacquers will chew into both oils and acrylics.

This is from my experience.
