Hello,

Now that I got to make the photos work, wanted to share another recent build I did.

It's a historical reproduction of a actual war photo.
I even replicated the same license plate number.

It's a Simca 5 from the 3rd Motorized Infantry Division - Wehrmacht - 1943

The Kit is from Tamiya, The Resin Figure is from Royal Model.
Used Aber P.E.

I scratch built a new canvas rooftop, seats and rubber mats from Greenstuff.
The resin accessories are from Verlinden, Jaguar and Royal Model.

The base is from Andrea Miniatures and the vegetation from The Scenic Factory.

First saw this model posted on Facebook. Great work! I love the diminutive automobile with what at first seems like an oversized figure. Also your work with the seats and the detailing of various other "cloth" parts is outstanding!

Mike, thank you very much ! It looks out of scale for sure. But the vehicle is very tiny in real life. I got to see one in a museum and I would not fit inside lol.

Thank you ! Was the first time I did a model based on actual photo reference. I enjoyed. It takes away some of the artistic "liberty" but it's a nice challenge.

Excellent job on the Simca and figure Julian. I love the weathering you have done on it.

Julian, This is very nicely done, bravo!
Overall quite convincing, a simple vignette showing that sometimes less is more, right?
But I especially like the car's weathering: exterior, wheels, windows, and the interior dash details.

Thank you for your feedback. It's always fun to make a Tamiya model kit. But as I said before, the smaller the more complex it gets. But it turned out nicely.

Those "rubber" areas around the windows and windshield are a pain to get it right.

This was a almost 2 year project, finished the last 40% in the last two months, when I was finally happy with the Base and terrain to come with it.
