This could open the doors for RAFAEL to a whole new range of potentional customers.

Isreal,

Great info, thanks! I'm currently building the Meng Merkava 4m with Trophy, and I'm finding the integration of the Trophy system into the existing Merkava Mark 4 quite interesting.

I understand that the US M1 tank is also getting the Trophy system, at least for some tanks. Amazing that the Israeli defense industry has designed a system that both Germany and the US wish to adopt, especially considering the immense defense infrastructure in both those countries, and that tiny Israel can apparently develop a system that neither those giants have been able to.

While I did read that with quite some excitement back when word first came out in January, we're only talking about 17 vehicles here, to be used with the Nato VJTF. Needless to say that Germany will not equip it's vehicles with a foreign on a larger scale. To the extent possible, Germany has always covered its needs with domestic designs, and they will do the same here once the rheinmetall or other solutions are ready.

Indeed. It looks like the modular armor of the Merkava allows a more streamlined integration of the system than on the Abrams or the Leopard. I guess the relevant module is simply replaced or rebuilt with one which includes the system components.

Apparently the Australians consider IMI's Iron Fist APS for their Boxer AFVs: https://defense-update.com/20190121_iron-fists-aps-for-the-australian-boxers.html?utm_source=spotim&utm_medium=spotim_recirculation&spotim_referrer=recirculation

Hi, Curt!

As far as I know, only the very latest versions of the M1A2C SEPs will be getting the Trophy System, along with that new CV-whatever-it-is-"alphabet-soup" IR-resistant paint... The US Army seems to want a "new tank" by 2030... We'll see, I guess...

THANK YOU, Israel!

It seems that you have better and more accurate sources than I do!

I humbly stand corrected!
