I have just read that a small number of the TPz 1 Fuchs APCs were in service with the IDF (evidently in the early 1990s) ... certainly news to me, and I haven't been able to find any photographs or references to support this. Does anyone have information to confirm the claim?

From memory I believe these were the NBC version the same as supplied to the UK and US during the first Gulf war after the fear that Iraq would use chemical weapons.
I think it mentions it in one of the Tankograd books but I'm not at home right now so can't check.

Yes.

During Desert Storm Israel received 8 of the TPz 1A3/ABC Spürpanzer Fuchs from German Army stocks.

The current status of these vehicles is unknown.

This page has two pics of the Fuchs in IDF service:

https://www.fresh.co.il/vBulletin/printthread.php?t=137008

*The page is in Hebrew, but scroll down about 1/3 of the way for the pics.

They appear to be painted in standard IDF gray/sand camo.

Welcome aboard Torsten!
When you create your next post you will see a black stripe directly below the text input field.
There are 7 buttons in this stripe, the one on the right end (ganz rechts) is labeled img enclosed within [ and ].
If you click the button yoy will get the BB-code for image linking (img and /img enclosed in the square brackets). Paste the image link inside the brackets and remove the prompting text. Finished.

You can also type the brackets and img, /img yourself

Cheers / Robin

Hi Torsten,
The image link does not work since you have tried to link to an image on the disk drive of your computer (festplatte). This wil not work since the rest of the world are not allowed to access your computer from the outside.

The image needs to be available somewhere on the internet. I use the imgur service to publish images:
https://imgur.com/
The account is "free", I assume that you "pay" for the service by letting them use/sell your images somehow.

Very short summary: The link to the image must start with "http" or "https" and the image must be on some publicly available server
