Excellent work once again. I like how you got the loose items floating about, clothes on the line in the wind, and the over all concept. Great work on the figs and lil' bird!

Cheers, Ski.

Thank you Ski. Cheers!

The place would be Mogadishu. Circa September 1994 during operation Gothic Serpent (Black Hawk down).

One small correction, Operation Gothic Serpent ((deployment and actions of Task Force Ranger (Ranger Co, Delta Tms, TF-160 SOAR, Navy Seals, and USAF PJs)) took place from Aug to Oct '93, not '94. The Aidid mission ((a.k.a. The Battle of the Black Sea (the neighborhood it took place in ) or The Battle of Mogadishu)) depicted in the book and movie Black Hawk Down took place 3-4 OCT '93. TF Ranger left Somalia on 6 Oct '93.

My mistake. You are absolutely right it was 93 not 94. What was important there for the effect of the dio were the weather conditions/climate. There is not much difference between September and first days of October. Thanks again Gino.

Geez tough crowd again, it’s superb Marcos & I love the single contact point supporting the entire weight of the ‘copter. Bravo, a prize-winner in any show. As for title…”Blown away”?

I don't like the camouflage on uniforms. Your previous works was better. This scene has potential, but in my opinion it is still to be worked out.

Outstanding work, and no small feat trying to capture in a still frame the dynamic scenario of a hovering helo. Obviously motion blur of the rotor blades would be nigh impossible to pull off, but one thing that I think would make real a difference would be to have the blades bent upwards, which is what they would do when supporting the load of the aircraft. They would only droop down like this when sitting on the ground. Maybe for your next fantastic dio!

Thank you Mark. Let me tell you that I thought about turning the blades, but I thought the curvature up would have been a bit too much. Plus the consideration that cutting them and sticking them back reversed would have left them a bit on the frail side. Maybe on a future project.
