E-50 Standardpanzer

Stephen loves Panthers and as the E-50 was going to be the replacement for the Panther 2/f he thought to give it a go, but a bit different from the box art. He replaced the kit barrel with an aluminium one and left the side skirts off to show the huge tracks. Then an entire afternoon was spent with masking, and adding a fictional camo pattern. The remainder of the tools were completed, engine painted, antennas and camo wire attached to the turret, MG fitted. Weathering streaks, etc. were added to the front and sides and a light wash of dark brown. On the rear the exhausts were painted in red brown then touched up with rust pigments. The engine deck cover was left open and Stephen inserted a Tamiya engine there. The tracks were painted using Tamiya red brown followed by a black wash then dry brushed with silver. Then he gave it a light misting with an air brush using Tamiya light earth. Next chips and scratches were added, decals from spares box and small items painted.
