Rick has been busy in forums with a blog of a Sherman M4A3E2 'Jumbo' in 1/35th scale to show case the AK Real Colors line of paints; a link to this can be found at the bottom of the page. The Tasca Sherman M4A3E2 'Jumbo' has been painted with the new Real Colors US Army Basic set #19 from AK Interactive and the weathering is all with AK Interactive Dust and Dirt Deposit #4062 Light Dust as well as a tiny bit of AK Fuel Stain. About Rick Cooper (clovis899)
FROM: CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES

I have been modeling for about 30 years now. Once upon a time in another century I owned my own hobby shop; way more work than it was worth. I tip my opti-visor to those who make a real living at it. Mainly build armor these days but I keep working at figures, planes and the occasional ship.

Comments

Nicely done. Like the faded turret star and the stark red of the recognition panel.

Of course Tasca's Jumbo is a gem... but all the very small and fine details you had added are great ! I also like very much the wet rings on the upper hull. Thanks for sharing

Thank you all for your kind comments. The wet spots were a happy accident from mineral spirits to remove some of the Dust Deposit from AK. I didn't have any problems until the last of about five applications to remove material, but I thought it looked natural so I just went with it! Cheers, Rick
