This series of images covers only the different tracks of BV206D and BV206S. Bad news for owners of Firing Line`s kit, it looks you can´t simply use Takom tracks

But this must be a newer version of the tracks, as i'm quite sure that the tracks we had on our Bv206 in my military duty had 1 single track and not like on your photos.. Can it be a german upgrade of the tracks?

These beasties are "adorable" according to my daughter who wonders (as do I) exactly what they are used for (besides the obvious towing) as they seemed too small to do much. Unless they were designed to be airmobile assets. Then I can see it.

BV 206 or commonly known as "Hägglunds" are are family of Over-snow/All-Terain Vehicles. their main task is transport troops, wounded personal and supplies in deep snow, swamps, muddy areas and otherwise unpassable terrain. In Germany, they are use d with Gebirgsjäger and Fallschirmjäger units. Other nations even use it as anti-tank tracks, sporting TOW missiles. The German version has a Mercedes engine, so you can see them in Mercedes garages for routine engine maintenance.

The Royal Marines used these in Norway but they were also used in the Falklands after the war as they were an ideal vehicle due to the boggy terrain. We had 3 of them on the Resident Rapier Squadron and we would use them to get stores/spares to certain sites if we couldn't get the use of a helicopter.
