Leopard 2A4 NL

The kit is by Revell; a fun and straightforward build, but I wanted to add some more detail to the model. To do this I added various parts from Leopard Workshop and some lenses from Voyager Models. To finish the model I also added figures by MiniArt. The painting and weathering process was done with careful studying of various references to recreate the look of a Leopard on exercise in Germany during the later stages of the Cold-War.

Hi Jasper, Nicely made model, congrats! What colour did you use (brand and paint no)? The reason is that I have the Meng A4 version in my stash with Dutch extras taken from the Revell Leo 2A5/A5NL kit (the Dutch parts sprue is the same as in the A4NL kit), also some nice add-ons from the Leo Club. Having seen your masterpiece, I am quite excited now to move this subject well ahead in my work schedule - probably mid next year. All your photos are saved for reference. Keep working such nice tanks! Cheers, Tamas

Thank you very much Tamas! I used a 50/50 mix of NATO Green and Olive Drab, AK RC080 and Vallejo 70.608. Good luck with your Leopard, I'm looking forward to seeing the result of your efforts! Regards, Jasper
