About Maximilian Froemter (Maxiplus)
FROM: WIEN, AUSTRIA

Hi, I´m Max from Bavaria/Germany. Currently I´m living in Vienna and working as a digital artist for a computer game company. I recently discovered modeling again after a break of more than 10 years because I got tired of working on the computer all the time. I mainly build 1:35 vehicles and figures...

A most worthy winner with a very different subject rather than the normal German, Allied etc. John

I'm also pritty bad too, but everyone has to start somewhere and you've just got to research and ask lots of questions from these veterans of modeling on the forums. Since coming on Armorama i've made great progress. Oh yes, great model

Ditto what everyone else has already said. and for that matter, anyone who gazes upon this piece of workmanship.

Great work with an old (but good) kit! I'm working on one of these now...the normal US version though. Quick Question - Did you use any PE or after-market for the extra detail on the turret? It looks great! - Steve

Thanks for your comments! It really is a great honor for me to win the December MOM contest. This success after my long abstinence from the hobby encourages me to spend more time with modeling, and probably soon I can show you more stuff from my workbench. Also my congratulations go to the other contestants, there were many impressive and skillfully built and painted models in the competition. I think the deciding factor for my success was the choice of a unique subject. I´m sure many of the forum members found it kind of "refreshing" to see some unusual third-world armor... Sometimes I get the impression that more than half of the pictures on this website display Tigers:) To answer your question, Steve: All the turret details were scratchbuilt with styrene, except from the Verlinden machinegun and mount. Unfortunately my local hobbyshop got the right PE-Set only shortly after the paintjob was finished:( If you are interested you can find more info about this model in my old MOM-entry thread: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/64693&page=1
