Heads Up!
Soviet Heads in Garrison Caps (WWII) (Set 1), set ARM356013, is a set of individual 1/35 Red Army soldier heads in Armor35's new range of body part accessories.

Soviet Heads in Garrison Caps (WWII) (Set 1)
This set includes five heads cast in gray resin. Casting is first rate with no flash, air pocks, or other flaws. Each head is attached to its pour block. Each pour block has an individual number or Cyrillic character.

Svetlana Rykunova is the sculptress. She is also the artist who sculpted several of the recent excellent Armor35 monument-series figures.

The set is held in a baggie stapled to a card label.

Detail
Each head is unique, not "cookie cutter" castings. The caps are positioned differently. Some drawn to the brow, some back to the hair line. Some cocked to the side.

All five of the heads are different, too. One has a rounded forehead and a bit pudgier face. They look authentically more humanly diverse than some of the thin elongated heads from other manufacturers.

Detail is excellent with defined lips, eyes and eye brows, and ears for the head, plus Red Army stars on the caps. Good hair detail, too, although it seems shaggier than most Russian soldiers I've seen in WWII photos, whom seem to have close-cropped hair cuts.

Assembly and Painting Instructions
None. Except for color guidance for the hat and insignia, there isn't much to say.

Conclusion
These heads are outstandingly detailed with excellent casting. They do not look like "cookie cutter" parts.

Recommended.
