Vladimir Demchenko keeps sculpting interesting poses and rare items for his U.S.Army figures. He always finds new unusual poses reflecting the military daily life in Vietnam War and unique pieces for at rest, tent or basecamp scenes.

B6-35322 Rubber Lady includes two 1/35 scale soldiers - one sitting and other standing with air matresses.
Review

  • Figures come in company’s standard cardboard box labeled with boxart painted by Vladi. Each figure’s parts are served in three small zip-lock bags; one for body, one for small parts like head, arms and one for the air matresses. All are lumped into a larger one.

  • Figures are sculpted in clean and details. Casting is very good with no mistakes or excess. There will be no need for a serious cleanwork other than removing casting blocks. Another assembly and ready to prime kit from BRAVO*6.

  • Figure - A is posed on sitting pose over an inflated matress and trying to take off his boot and comes in 8 pieces.
    - Body
    - Head
    - Right arm
    - Left arm
    - Left boot to put on the ground
    - Folded up jungle shirt
    - Right boot with hands
    - Inflated air matress

  • Figure - B is a Black American soldier standing and blowing the air matress. It comes in 5 pieces.
    - Body
    - Head
    - Right arm
    - Left arm
    - Air matress
  • Both figures wear 3rd pattern tropical combat Trousers with trotters inserted into 2nd pattern leather-canvas combined Jungle boots. A has OD undershirt as B wears 3rd pattern Jacket. Body postures, proportions, cloth folds, wrinkles and details on uniforms are well sculpted and look realistic.

  • Heads are given as seperate parts that makes replacement possible. Besides nice facial details, facial expressions are very well defined on both figures.

  • Air Mattress or Pneumatic Mattress, nicknamed as Rubber Lady, was an inflatable, coated fabric mattress, ridged with side panels. Color was in olive green army shade. Its size and shape conformed to the sleeping bag. It often doubled as a float for carrying items across streams and flooded land. Panels, side ridges and valve are well sculpted.
    Conclusion

Another unique two figure kit of BRAVO-6. Good poses, clean and crisp details and flawless cast. I think all Nam modelers have a dream to use air matresses on their dioramas.

    Highly Recommended

Thank you for your review, Engin. To me, Bravo-6 figures are pieces of art and I hate ruining them with my not so great painting skills.

Another outstanding and useful set from Vladi at Bravo 6. This will go great with a poncho hootch in the background. The way Vladi captured the uninflated air mattress is really nice. Cheers, James
