About RLGumby
I served a little over 15 years in the USCG, and left the service as a Gunners Mate 1/C (GM1). I ended up in California and worked for 21 years as a Police Officer in the SF Bay area until I retired in 2011. I moved to Kentucky, bought a house and a Harley, grew my hair and a beard, and added bourbon to my list of favorite things. Life is good. AFV's are my favorite modeling subjects (modern NATO and some modern WP stuff, although I like some WWII era subjects). I also like to change it up a little and build 1/48 and 1/32 aircraft (also leaning towards more modern stuff), some 1/72 subjects (mainly turboprop transport a/c), 1/144 airliners (I like to build colorful schemes), and some NASCAR subjects.
