Scalemodel World 2010

Introduction
November is normally a busy time in my modelling life mainly due to the IPMS UK running there successful Scale Model World show over two days in this month. For me this usually means a very hectic week before hand finishing up may models I have promised to display, it is also one of the few times in the year I get together with like minded friends who form the "IPMS kitmaker - the Bulldogs" group all of us met through the kitmaker network and although we all have our own personal interests we share the fun of modelling. The group has expanded to now include wives and girlfriends of the members who come along for the weekend, and hopefully are made fully welcome by the members and become part of the kitmaker family
The show deemed to be one of the biggest in the world host displays by various IPMS groups and special interest Groups (SIG's) as well as more traders that you can shake a stick at. For a lot of people it is a modelling shopping Mecca and I do a lot of my yearly modelling purchases at the show.
As the feature editor it is also quite a busy weekend, talking to various modellers on the benefits of the kitmaker network and also meeting new members and old friends, the weekend although long does seem to fly by. In the following pages I hope to show you some of the armour and figure models that caught my eye in the competition and on various club stands ( the aircraft and ships being hopefully covered by the relevant kitmaker site).
I would like to thank all those who dropped by the stand to say hello, and if you didn't make it this year then hopefully we should see you next year. To the other members of the Bulldogs for making the weekend what it is, and your friendship and time you all give to the club makes it what it all worth while and something I look forward to each year, who would have thought that such strong friendships can be forged from such a solitary hobby, and finally the IPMS UK committee for there time in producing this high standard of show year in year out.
so on with the show

Great feature Keith! And I really like that group shot as well. The table looked great this year. Wish I could have been there. Maybe next year for Armorama's 10th! Cheers, Jim
