Büssing NAG with 3T Bilstein Crane

  • move
This is my build of AFV Club’s Büssing NAG with 3T Bilstein crane. During the construction I decided to change the provided rubber tires with some aftermarket products in resin. The rubber wheels in the kit are very well detailed and very easy to use, but I have had many bad experiences with rubber parts, while using oil based paint and weathering products, so that’s the reason for my exchange of these parts. During the assembly, I noticed several places where some rather nasty ejection marks are visible, and these needed some attention. My build is supposed to depicture a late war vehicle, where the crane and the driver’s door has been replaced by parts from an earlier vehicle, which still have been painted in the Panzer Grey color. This breaks up the all over Dark Yellow color, which make the model look a bit different and stand out from the crowd. I’ve also added some tools and equipment in the wooden storage/tool box behind the driver’s cab from my spare box. I can highly recommend this kit to everyone who likes softskins, or someone who is looking for something a little out of the ordinary.
