Ron, just a great build a weathering. My only comment is in regards to the kit. Namely, it's a pity that the reissue no longer has the PE exhaust guards. These guards were very often dented and riddled with holes from small arms and shrapnel. One could easly achieve very convincing damage with the PE guards, but I imagine this is much tougher to do satisfactorily with the plastic parts. Again, your build is just great, so thank you for taking the time to do the write-up and show us novices many ways in which we can improve our work.

You can get the plastic to look good, I'm not so sure that I can do it. Anyway, not to hijack the current thread, but that looks like one heck of a Tiger! It's amazing to see that you've even put the small chains on the caps for the air cleaners. Also, the finish on the paint looks stunning - vou really managed to get depth and variation to the color. Indeed, Rick, that looks like a nice Tiger there.

Thanks guys i appreciate the comments Dave i agree the metal covers are nicer but like Rick as shown the plastic ones can be damaged too and normally im all about beating things up a bit but i was happy doing minimal damage on this one sorry for the late reply i have been at the beach for the past week heh.

I'm so excited reading about your build. I just got my cavalier zim from the mail and I'm about to start my Tiger kit very soon and the timing of your article could not have been more perfect. My kit though is one of the first that came out so I have the separate track version.

Thanks Jeff, and to answer your question no "amber" is wrong it is supposed to be "insigia yellow" by modelmaster i do not know why i got those two mixed up like that thanks for pointing that out,. i wonder how much trouble it would be for Bill to change that
