Hi all,

Here are some pics of my 1/16 Pershing. Some of you may already now it looking like this:

In action:

Now it looks like this

The simple reason for this is that some maintenance needed was. Some parts were broken off, some damage on the paint etc. Also I found the following picture on Missing-Lynx which inspired my to extra add frontal armour.

The model in short:

- 1/16 full option RC model from Tamiya.
- Meta tracks and sprockets from Impact.
- Various scratch extra's like the armour plate on front.
- Various detail work like weld seams, casting structure, new tow cable etc.
- AM parts from Schumo like the periscope guards.

And now the pics. Almost ready for painting. I need to remove some putty here and there, mostly remains from the casting structure.

Hope you like it!

Nice work and thanks for posting it Martin. Glad to see you're still at the 1/16th scale.

Midlife update Martin?
Looks like a very good job as allways. Looking forward to see it when you have "restored" it.
Btw, I'm soon starting a 1/16 Leopard 1A5 NO2...

Thanks for the replies!

@ Keith: watch it, you'd better keep your wife and dog friends if you want to continue your hobby right ?
@ Jeff: yes, still building in this scale. Current project are my Pershing, a SU-76i, an AT-45 and a Sherman
@ Erik: yeah something like that. It was needed Cool to hear you're starting a new 1/16 Leopard project. Make sure to post pics! I've got myself a Leopard 1 restoration project as well (Leopard 1 and Gepard, both the old Tamiya's of course). Not my own tanks but if I want I can work on them...

Dang that is a killer job on the thing.
thought it looked good first go round.
Do you have trouble keeping that brass PE stuck on there bouncing all over the terrain?

That's great. I clicked on your link and saw the SU-76i project but not the AT-45 and the Sherman.

Thanks for sharing!

That's right, the links goes to my SU-76i thread. I must say I haven't done much on the SU lately except for gathering parts (like improvement parts for the suspension).

I don't have threads for the AT-45 and Sherman yet as these project are still in initial phases. My Sherman used to look like this though:

Yeah but I'm still alive and not too lazy to give a reply

The periscope guards are from Schumo Kits (from Germany)

Hi Jeff,

No I actually stopped some years ago. My time and money now disppear into my new hobby: my Jeep Wrangler Building and driving scale 1:1 is actually a lot of fun too!

Hopefully in future there will be a Willys/Ford as well.
