I'm thinking a long while about getting an RC m1. I understand there are a number in of them various scales. But which would be the most visually accurate to the real thing?

Also, are there RC versions in 1/35 scale?
A local hobby shop carries VS tanks' 1/24 scale M1A2 at around US$130. Is this a decent price? and are there any reviews?

Thanks!

If you look for it, Tamiya released a 1/35 scale RC version of their M1A1 Abrams. You could probably kitbash it with their more recent M1A2 kit to get a more accurate version. The kit came with RC transmitter and everything you need to have it crawling around the carpet. All you needed were batteries.

Someone once sent me a link to their 1/24 or 1/25 scale M1A1 (or A2?) that they fully accurized. It was RC as well and done really nicely. I'd send you a link, but I don't think I have it any more. Maybe if you google for it, you may be able to find his site.

Hi Nick
Here's a review of VsTank's 1/24th scale M1A2 :

According to the info you can find HERE , VsTank is closely related to Tokyo Marui. In fact their tanks are rebadged Tokyo Marui models.
Here's a review of Tokyo Marui's M1A2 :

Thanks Sabot and Frenchy,

I would like to get the 1/35 version but according to the review the turret don't rotate and it don't shoot.

Thinking again about scale I think 1/24 would be ideal for RC. And yes I intend to convert it into a TUSK version, thus I was searching for the most accurate kit available to start wtih. I'd go for the "airsoft" not the IR version..would be pretty fun shooting at things!

So VS tank or Tokyo Marui......hmmmmm

Thanks!
