It is the standard Seafoam Green color of all US APCs (with the exception of the Stryker, which is white). Walls, floor, and ceiling all start out Seafoam Green. The floor is often repainted black, is scratched and worn down to aluminum, or everything in between.

The color is called Sea Foam Green. I've seen the floors either left unpainted aluminum or painted in the same color as the interior of the vehicle. HTH "Q"

"The floor is often repainted black, is scratched and worn down to aluminum, or everything in between."

In all my years on AAVs, i never saw a black nor aluminum floor. If you look at the picture Frenchy posted, the floor is a very dark green. Floquils "Pulman Green" is a good match. The floor panels in the "tunnel" where the TC and Driver sit are also the same color. Also note that there is NO sea foam green poking through the worn areas of the floor...the floor is painted dark green on the raw aluminum.

For those modeling the inside, note that the sea foam green is a VERY tough paint, so there is almost NO chipping or scratches! The only area that gets worn is the floor (like the picture). During operatons this would be also heavly coated with mud/dust/ and bits of folliage if you drove through the woods with the hatches open.

If your wondering what the 2 Marines are doing, they are setting the headspace and timing on the M2 before mounting it. Note the dismounted MK19 grenade launcher behind them. Also the coiled cable behind them is the "slave" cable ( a jumper cable for AFVs). The funny shaped box between them and pushed under the seat is the spent casing/link box that is normaly located in the bottom of the turret basket with a shute from the 50 cal leading to it. It tends to fill fast, back up the shute, and jam the 50, so many remove it and let the shells and links just spill onto the floor (though that requires occasional cleaning out to avoid fouling the turret). The red bottles in the background are the HALON bottles for the fire supression system.

Has anyone ever tried mixing Sea Foam Green from Tamyia paints?

It seems to look the same as the colour in an M113.
