With all the new kits being released, I'd think that more armored cars will be released. So, what are you hoping to come out in plastic?

Definately 1/35 Ferret scout car and panhard aml 60

A remake of the old M3A1 White Scout Car. Dragon could probably do one fairly easily with some of the tooling they have on hand for the half track series.

Whats up Rob and Pat tar, What I would like to see is chenowith buggy the special forces used. I know hobby fan made one but was too expensive for my taste.

A series of Ratels. Oh, and a BTR-90.

There's a new Panhard 178 in the works from Master Box - OK, so it won't be a Smart Kit but I'm pretty sure it'll be a step up from the old Dragon/Alby release.

[ Edit - in fact, there are two coming from Master Box. A Panhard 178 and the inevitable Pz.Sp. 204(f). The latter, at least, appears to be more than just the same kit boxed with some balkenkreuz, instead it seemsto be the Panhard modified to carry a 20mm KwK 38. Whether these will ever appear is another matter entirely, since Master Box are the lot that committed to producing C-47s, Ju-52s and Horsa gliders in 1/35th, despite their entire kit output to date being entirely based on variations of their Panzer I kit ]

I'd go with the Saladin as well. Tamiya's old kit is like rocking horse whatsit, and the few resin kits are outside my pricerange at present.

I don't know if they are considered Armored Cars or not, but I sure wish Tamiya would extend their HMMWV line. An M1114 and M1151 in all styrene would be nice.

I don't do much 1/35 armour but a AEC Mk.III would get my money, also a Deerhound, Wolfhound and Boarhound.

Although they're not technically armored cars, these kit ideas are fine. With Warwheels we cover these types of vehicles too; which we refer to as WFV's (wheeled fighting vehicles)...

I would debate the fact that the armored HMMWV (hummer) is not an armored car. By definition, althought it does not use conventional metallic armor, it is an "armored vehicle" the M111x series of up armored vehicles includes b.r. glass and an armored turret. What else would it need to be considered an armored car?

Well, I have to say you're right as it has all the hallmarks of an AC. Sometimes I still get caught up in the fact that the initial un-armored HUMVEES aren't AC's... I stand corrected, although at present I'm actually sitting...

I also wouldn't mind seeing an M-20 AUC configured as Patton's Command Vehicle as a kit.

A USAF Peacekeeper, sounds good. Drove one for many years, might be nice to build one for old time sake. milvehfan
