Hi everyone.

It has not been done before to my knowledge, so how about a KV Kampaign? And variant of the KV-1 or 2. The Trumpeter ones in 1/35 are cheap and great kits so does anyone else have the urge?

Cheers
Warren

Hi Warren,
Scott Sutherland proposed a Mother Russia Campaign, for Russian Armor. https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/156187&page=1 Maybe you guys can form an alliance and come up with one cool campaign.

Looks like my idea is superfluous (sic) then.. Maybe too specialised...

Warren, I think it's a good idea, there are also Sherman Campaigns, Tiger Campaigns and what not and still we have lots of other campaigns to build these in as well. It might take a bit longer to get the required 10 participants but I think it does have potential.

Cheers!

Oooo!! Looks like we may just be able to get the 10 we require if it keeps up like this. Thanks for the support guys! I have all the Trumpeter KV-1s except the latest one, but that one is on its way as well. There is something about the KV-1 and Russian armour in general that I find strangely attractive..

Haahaa! I knew I have a soulmate somewhere here in Armorama! I have all Trumpeter 1/35 KV-1 and KV-II kits in my stash, except the latest -39 model. Me too find those russian monsters strangely attractive, specially KV-II.

Hi Warren,

I would be interested in enlisting. I have never built a KV-1 so this would give me chance to do so.

When do you plan on running the campaign?

Thanks,

HARV

If i can find a KV-1 kit somewhere online. I will gladly help and build one. My local hobby shop has seemed to run out of them.

Try Sprue Brothers, LuckyModel or Hobby Link Japan. One of those usually have some KVīs in stock. Sprue has the latest Trumpeter KV mod 39 in stock. It has reasonable price and it comes with PE parts and metal barrel.

Thanks for the suggestions, Sprue Brothers seems to have a lot of nice deals on kits. I built a KV-2 a few years ago when i first started out and enjoyed it greatly. But i haven't seen any kits in a long time.

Ebay is also a good source. Try Buy Models shop. He also has an online site at buymodel.com, but it is down for the moment.

If we start late this year or next year, I would be interested. I have huge pile of Trumpeter KVīs in my stash and now it would be time to build first one.

I also have all but the latest Trumpeter KV tank (Some hiding in boxes, some built, some inbetween, and some actually finished) I am very interested in this campaign. Perhaps we can get Neil Stokes watching and taking part.

I decided to rename the thread to make it more obvious what it is about.

I'm up for it, got the Trumpy I and II in the stash.
Good if it's late this year or early next year as I am busy dodging rockets in Afghanistan right now.
